Getting an accurate moving quote and calculating your exact relocation expenses is quite difficult. Most of us do not want to spend lavishly when it comes to spending on shifting our homes or office. It is human nature that we get allured by discounts and lower prices. Same is the case when we look for a moving company.

1. One of the biggest reasons for getting hefty bills in the end is making wrong choice of moving company. As already stated we get allured by companies that show smaller moving quote initially to attract the consumers. Later they add up various charges that they call exclusive of the moving quote. They do not clarify as to what will be charged upon extra in the billing. Apart from the billing, such companies will end up in frustration as most of the time your stuff may turn lost or may be an item gets broken while moving.

2. Another reason behind the difference in the actual bills and the moving quote is that people do not plan properly. It is always a good practice to show the items to various moving companies before you choose one. But to compare it is desirable that you show the same list to each company. Only then you will be able to make a right choice. Many people do not check the moving quotes to see that the moving company has included every thing they want to shift. Hence, they end up paying extra for special handing and extra handling charges.

3. Most of the people do not get a clear picture as to what is included and what will be charged extra. It is really important that you properly understand moving quote before you accept it. It should be clarified well in advance if packing will cost extra or if the moving company will charge for packing materials or handling breakables.

4. Another major reason for the moving quote being different from the final bills is that people tend to move more items that they have indicated in the list agreed with the moving company. This is a fault on the part of the consumer. If you have a doubt regarding certain things that you will or will not move, it is good to ask in advance what extra charges will be taken for moving them. You may add up these extra charges initially in the moving quote and plan your budget accordingly.

So remember, when we go out for hiring a moving company to relocate our stuff, we tend to choose one that gives the minimum moving quote. Unfortunately, in such cases most of the time the final bills come out to be quite high as compared to the initial moving quote given by the moving company. Let us analyze the common reasons why there is a discrepancy in the initial moving quote and the final billing structure.
